DAY 1: SAIGON – VUNG LIEM – TRUNG NGHIA
Depart from the hotel in Saigon in the morning for 02 hour drive to caibe where we board on a private boat to experiece the Caibe Floating Market. Then cross the mighty Mekong River to Vinhlong where we get our car back and drive on to Trung Nghia Village. Greeted by locals and walk to a lodge - homestay style. Lunch is served. Join the daily activities of the family with cutting coconut leaves, which are used to build the walls and roof of the houses. Then go fishing for your dinner when you have chance to interact with locals about their life. You can join in some activities at night like setting fish trap, lighting the poon or experiencing the local music.
DAY 2: PHU AN - TRUNG NGHIA
Begin another day in the delta by checking if any fish got caught in your trap overnight. Return to the lodge for breakfast. You start to row a boat through canal and visit Mr. Duc's family who makes pop rice. Bisides, you will learn the Vietnamese way of life in the countryside how to farm pigs, cows and use their waste to generate green energy biogas for fuel. Then we will visit to a local chool where children are excited to learn English and meeting with westerners. Then we will visit Mr. Dung, a man with no sight but with many talents. Lunch is served at a local home. In the afternoon, biking on the local roads through fruit gardens, dragon fruits, coconut trees, rice fields and sedge fields. Time for sunset on the River.
DAY 3: PHU AN – TRUNG NGHIA – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the lodge. Free at leisure until 09:45 to check out, take a rowing boat to visit school and walk to Chua Xu temple in where locals and visitors from other provinces come to pray. Drive back to Saigon in the afternoon.
